Blind Intervention: The Before and After

In August we ran a promotional contest to find “Britain’s Ugliest Blind” with our local constituents.  It was our hope that we could highlight how many people hold on to unsightly or broken window coverings, and have some fun with our photograph contest.  We certainly did get some proof that there are some blinds in desperate need of replacement in Britain, and we enjoyed the participation of all our entries as well as the friends and family members that voted on the submissions.

The contest was the first promotion we ran through Facebook using the Wildfire application, and we think it was a lot of fun!  Feedback was certainly positive and the good natured approach was a great opportunity to suggest how easy and economical it is to replace unflattering blinds with new fashionable styles for the home, made to measure with our bespoke service.

When we announced the three winners we asked them to consider providing feedback on their purchase experience with Made to Measure Blinds UK.   Having provided gift vouchers in for £200  £100 and £50 respectively, we were eager to publish before and after pictures for our three winners to share in their excitement as they installed their brand new blinds.  We also hoped to demonstrate through our three winners how easy it is to order your blinds online, made to measure for your space and save through self-installation.

Our second prize winner Joanne Bean was incredibly excited to be our second prize winner and received a voucher for £100 of our window blinds.   She was a cheerful and wonderful woman who took the time to write us back in order to express her pleasure with her order.

“I just wanted to say thank you so much for the blinds which I won in your recent “Britain’s Ugliest Blind” contest! We installed the blinds today and they are fab! They’ve totally transformed my office space, were very easy to fit, and look fantastic! I’m so pleased with them that we are going to be ordering more this week to complete the room.”

A few weeks later Joanne wrote back to us on Facebook that she was so pleased with her order and the look of her first room, that she had placed a second order to decorate a new room.    She then sent pictures of the second room she furbished with Made to Measure blinds and Joanne was equally pleased with her second order, a beautiful choice in venetian blinds.
