At Made to Measure Blinds UK our entire store and ordering process is online. Creating a web store has advantages from a cost savings perspective and we are able to pass those savings back to our customers. But one of the challenges of operating an online business is with regards to customer service.
While we ship to Scotland, Wales, England and the Isle of Wight. The Channel Isles, Northern Ireland, Scottish Isles, Isle of Man and the Scilly Isles, we don’t operate a retail store where you can come browse our styles or ask for some advice on your latest project, or a difficult installation need. We wanted to create a similar experience for our customers so that they could have intuitive customer service, resources and an open forum to discuss their positive purchase experience with us. We also created a forum where our customers can express ideas and provide inspiration to help us continue to improve our product, service and delivery.
We are set up to respond directly to our customers On TrustPilot. TrustPilot is a paid customer feedback forum that merchants can subscribe to in order to receive comments from their recent customers. TrustPilot is available to businesses in over sixteen (16) countries and there are currently more than 100,000 businesses using the service to collect comments and consumer endorsements. It is also being used to augment customer service.
The unbiased service allows customers to easily place a review for the company and reflect on their purchase experience with the organization. Once in place, the merchant cannot edit the reviews that are made but rather respond accordingly to both positive feedback, general queries and grievances.
While our products pass a very stringent quality control inspection before shipping, sometimes a product arrives that is not exactly as the customer orders. These instances are very few and far between, but having customers comment on their experience we are able to continue to improve in areas that are important to our clients.
